IKa Annual Report 2021

In 2021, Indonesia is still marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, with no certain end in sight. A steep increase in Covid-19 cases between June-July 2021 marked the peak of the pandemic which also affected members of the IKa team. A number of individuals providing assistance to women victims of violence also tested positive for Covid-19.

IKa together with the National Commission Against Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) through Pundi Perempuan and Pundi Insani has undertaken a campaign to secure resources for them as
they are at the forefront of providing assistance to women victims of violence. The conditions the Service Provision Organization (Lembaga Pengada Layanan/LPL) and the Women’s Crisis Centers (WCC) are facing are not conducive to the provision of temporary assistance because the facilitators have to self-isolate and recover. IKa’s fundraising efforts have contributed to the recovery of 25 companions of the women victims of violence.
